Job description
The Role

You may view the world differently from others, your days are nights, and your nights are days, but you know exactly what suits your lifestyle. As the clock strikes midnight, others are tucking themselves into bed, but you are wide awake, a spring in your step and ready for what the dark hours may bring. After sunset you are one of the people in charge, the person in control, the head honcho if you like, ready to deal with any and all of our guest requests and ensure the building is tucked up safe and sound.

You plan your patrol of the hotel with military precision, checklist in hand and torch at the ready. You are part security guard, part receptionist and of course, guest relations too. The safety of others and the building lies in your hands, so you are conscientious, responsible, and adaptable to situations, you know what to do, how to do it and when to do it.

If late nights and early mornings are your thing and you have the personality to light up the night for our guests, then we would love to hear from you.

Main Duties
  • Ensure that Licensing Laws are adhered to by all Food & Beverage departments.
  • Be familiar with action to be taken in the event of lift failure.
  • Liaise with Maintenance on all matters that may concern them.
  • Ensure that hotel standards of discipline are maintained by all staff at night and to take appropriate corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensure that night porters keep guest areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure all night staff are on duty as scheduled.
  • Ensure that all night staff are undertaking their duties as required.
  • Perform regular patrols around and inside the building throughout the night.
  • Ensure all night staff are familiar with Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
