Overview

Volunteering with St John Ambulance strengthens communities. From youth support and education to wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.

This position is for a Community Network Training Lead, responsible for training activity across the York Vale Network.

Responsibilities
  • Lead training activity across the York Vale Network as the Community Network Training Lead.
  • Manage and develop volunteering groups and leaders, with support from central teams.
  • Embed St John Ambulance within communities, delivering tailored support through Community First Aid, Community Education and Community Fundraising; develop offerings for young people.
  • Drive excellence in delivery, create an inclusive and diverse volunteering experience for new and current volunteers, and navigate change to grow St John Ambulance.
  • Support a team of volunteer leaders to deliver essential services and provide a positive volunteer experience.
Qualifications
  • Induction to volunteering with SJA and role-specific training will be provided; willingness to undertake relevant training for the role.
  • Access to training for online and in-person delivery; ability to attend regular weekly network meetings to keep skills up to date.
  • Commitment to inclusive, diverse volunteering practices and community-focused service delivery.
