Experience in working in a range of instrumental education settings including individual and group teaching is essential. Evidence of working with a variety of children’s instrumental music groups and ensembles is desirable. As well as being motivated and enthusiastic, you have an interest in the welfare and musical development of children. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of music instructors working in Aberdeenshire schools. Duties will include preparation for exams and extra-curricular activities. Ideally the candidate will have experience in digital delivery of instrumental music lessons. GTCS registration is not required for this post. This post is regulated work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months in the last 5 years outside of the UK, an Overseas Criminal Record Check must be obtained. The candidate is responsible for obtaining this check.
