The Tactical Credit Hire unit deals with Delegated (DA) & non‑delegated authority (NDA) multi‑track cases up to £100K in value. The caseload will consist of pre‑litigation and litigated claims. You will conduct complex technical investigations on these claims submitted from specific opponents and help define strategies to reduce spend for our insurer clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse files throughout the case life, following client guidelines.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, keeping clients at the heart of every decision.
- Formulate initial strategies for approval by the Technical Supervisor.
- Conduct legal research and undertake telephone negotiations with third‑party solicitors.
- liaise with insureds and insurers as necessary.
- Ensure actions are carried out per the task list within the Case Management System.
- Accurately record time and complete dispute resolution processes.
- Process bills and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
- Adhere to SRA Standards & Regulations and Keoghs Values.
- Work in a target‑driven environment.
- Draft defences, complete allocation questionnaires, handle disclosure and evidence exchange, draft listing questionnaires, prepare pre‑trial checklists, instruct counsel, and draft CPR Part 18, Part 35 questions and counter‑schedules.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Experience handling Credit Hire files and litigation.
- Education: at least 5 GCSEs; a degree or LPC preferred.
- Initiative, planning, prioritisation, excellent listening and verbal communication.
- Telephone negotiation skills.
- Adherence to work processes and strategy.
- Sensitivity and tact in interactions.
- Decisiveness and composure under pressure.
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook, and case‑management systems.
- Commitment to Keoghs Values.
Desirable
- Experience with PI claims.
- Qualified solicitor / CILEX with practice rights, or CILEX lawyer considered.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9 am–5 pm, with 1 hour lunch.
