Job summary

A community-focused housing organization is seeking a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join their team covering Crewe, Chester, and surrounding areas. This full-time role requires a NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with skills in joinery, plumbing, and plastering. About the role

We are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Joiner to our team covering sites in Crewe, Chester and the surrounding areas. You will support the delivery of responsive repairs using your joinery skills, as well as carrying out general multi-skilled work.

This is a full-time, permanent vacancy, working 39 hours per week, and there is a requirement to cover out-of-hours callout on a rota basis, which offers an additional payment.

We are a customer focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be an experienced Joiner, but you will also have great customer service skills, a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.

The successful candidate will live within 10 miles of Crewe to be able to reach our resident locations in a timely manner. You must have a full UK driving licence, and there is a requirement for a basic DBS check, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.

Key essential requirements of the role
  • You must be able to demonstrate competence withinthe primarytrade and various multi-trade skills and experience in joinery, basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, mould washes/treatment and flooring coverings.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment and ideally within the social housing sector, where you have delivered a great service.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
