It’s about the environment, the atmosphere and the people – creating that sense of home that will help students feel safe, secure, and help them thrive.**Here at UPP we have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Technician (Electrical)** to work as part of our team at Broadgate Park, Beeston in providing both a planned and responsive maintenance service specialising in electrical and mechanical repairs.This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday covering a rolling rota including two weekends in a ten week cycle. The salary for this role is circa £36,574 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications plus the opportunity for overtime.*Please note that a current manual UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.***Key responsibilities include:*** Undertake maintenance within the residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and report any hazards identified to the relevant Manager.* Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front line response for all fabric work.* Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule & liaise with specialist sub-contractors.* Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance.* Carry out statutory testing including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, and others, as required.* Report any Health and Safety issues relating to the residences ensuring all information is passed to the relevant persons.* Take the lead in electrical stock management (ordering, storage, distribution) ensuring appropriate parts are held and available to meet SLA timescales for repair.* Assist team colleagues in other trades as and when required and assist with team development including cross-trade skills sharing.**We are looking for** you to be a fully qualified electrician with one of the following qualifications City & Guilds 236 / 2360 / 2365 / 2000 / 2330 / 2397 or equivalent EAL electrical qualification to Year 2 / Level 3 City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and have worked in a similar role and environment.
