Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Role Purpose
The Mobile Electrical Engineer carries out preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive activities across commercial premises. The role requires commercial experience and an electrical skill set, with a strong background in building services.

- Reactive maintenance repairs across various buildings.
- Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks.
- Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
- Participate in flexible working hours and out‑of‑hours emergency cover as required.
- Undertake required training, including health and safety courses and further trade development.
- Assist other trades as/when required.
- Update/close completed reactive & PPM tasks in the CAFM system.
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise the efficient operation and reliability of plant.
- Adhere to company QA, site procedures, client and integrals health and safety procedures.
- Inspect services and proactively deal with call outs/repairs as requested by management.
- Attend emergencies inside and outside of normal working hours.
- Keep and maintain all company‑issued tools in a safe working condition.
- Produce detailed & accurate reports for remedial works and technical/situational reports.
- Update on‑site log books for compliance purposes.
- Carry out electrical testing and complete certificates or documentation for completed works.
- Complete on‑site method statements and risk assessments as necessary.
- Undertake any other duties directed by managers within the remit of the role.
Day‑to‑day Responsibilities
- Develop and manage stakeholder relationships to achieve expected service levels.
- Comply with all client contract requirements and meet or exceed KPIs.
- Deliver exceptional quality of service as reflected by client feedback.
- Ensure delivery of all operational requirements per client scope of works.
- Implement operational procedures and performance measures to simplify and improve accuracy of work methods.
- Lead initiatives such as user experience programs, system rollouts and regional training.
- Drive client‑specific initiatives such as technology rollouts, benchmarking and best practices.
- Ensure site financial operations meet or exceed targets and controls.
- Maintain compliance with JLL and client health, safety, environment and risk management policies.
- Ensure data integrity across the region and perform audits as required.
- Resolve user complaints with solutions and follow‑up.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are delivered.
- Schedule detailed floor inspections regularly.
- Manage work‑order system for rectification of defective items/services.
- Support critical out‑of‑hours issues and work in emergencies.
- Coordinate churn work and minor projects requested by users.
- Implement and manage change control processes.
- Report building incidents and follow escalation channels.
- Maintain vendor contract database and procurement processes, including tender documentation.
- Generate reports and conduct presentations as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation.
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3.
- C&G 2391 or 2394 & 2395.
- 18th edition certificate.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
- Strong electrical & mechanical maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, and fabric skills are an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of building fabric and experience in fabric reactive repairs.
- Extensive knowledge of health & safety regulations.
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- Smart appearance, presentable.
- Must be available for call‑outs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work from a smartphone and PDA.
- Comfortable working within a team environment.
- Self‑motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings.
- IPAF 3a & 3b certification.
- Pasma.
