Job summary

A community support organization in Southwark is seeking a part-time Support Worker to provide personalized support for individuals with mental wellbeing concerns. The role involves bridging the gaps between various services and requires experience in supporting vulnerable individuals. Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting vulnerable individuals gained from paid work and/or voluntary and/or life experience.
  • Willing and able to collaborate with colleagues and other organisations.
  • Lived experience of mental distress.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge the gaps between statutory, health, community and voluntary services.
  • Provide personalised support to anyone with mental wellbeing concerns.
  • Coordinate and maintain your own workload and regularly report on activities.

Skills

Experience of working alongside individuals experiencing mental distress
Problem-solving skills relating to housing, welfare benefits, education and relationships
Basic competence in the use of email and word processing software
Able to produce clear records and reports in English

Education

Minimum of GCSE or Level II qualification in English
NVQ Level II in Health and Social Care or equivalent
