A Family Health Team in the United Kingdom seeks a qualified Mental Health Counsellor to enhance mental health care. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience, including four to five years in supervised clinical practice, knowledge of evidence-based mental health treatments, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and residents. Committed to inclusive practices, the role offers competitive hourly rates based on qualifications and experience.
The Thames Valley Family Health Team is one of the largest Family Health Teams (FHT) in Ontario. With more than 125 physicians across 21 sites within London/Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties, the Thames Valley Family Health Team is committed to providing comprehensive, collaborative primary health care to over 169,000 patients.
The Mental Health Counsellor’s primary goals are to build the capacity of family physicians' teams to identify and treat mental health and addictions concerns as part of comprehensive primary health care. The counsellor will work collaboratively, providing team training and consultation, as well as assessment and treatment to adults, children, youth and their families. Education and skills based group facilitation is required. This role will assist the FHT in achieving its vision and mission.

Hourly Rate: (dependent on years of experience and profession)
Social Worker: $35.4072 - $43.1795
Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse: $34.8138 - $42.4559
