Job Summary

Real Chemistry is looking for a Medical Editor to join our growing team!

The Medical Editor plays a pivotal role in Real Chemistry’s Global Med Comms team by enhancing the clarity, accuracy, and impact of our medical communications. By meticulously reviewing, editing, and verifying a wide array of medical content, the Medical Editor ensures our content resonates accurately and effectively across various media platforms. This role is instrumental in upholding our commitment to the highest standards.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Edit and proofread medical content across the full spectrum of medical and commercial communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, flow, and alignment with client style.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of medical terminology and principles to enhance content quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical, Client Services, Design, and Project Management teams to maintain content quality and relevance, and to deliver against agreed timelines.
  • Conduct thorough fact‑checking and source verification as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry best practices and advocate them within your work.

  • A proactive approach to desk research and source verification.
  • Keen interest in continuous learning about medical advancements and guidelines.
  • Experience in a team environment, showcasing strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a scientific/medical field.
  • Experience as a medical editor in a medical communications agency is preferred.
