Overview

Mechanical reliability engineer role at Guardian Industries.

In the UK, Guardian is continually looking for talented individuals to help grow and strengthen the regional market. The plant in Goole, East Yorkshire, has recently invested in a new furnace using advanced technology to secure glass manufacturing at the site for the next 20 years. The plant produces advanced and energy-saving architectural glass and operates as a lower-tier COMAH site in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do
  • Develop, implement and improve maintenance strategies.
  • Provide leadership and coaching on reliability issues using the KOCH Industries Principle-Based Management framework.
  • Drive the development of a reliability-based culture.
  • Conduct criticality assessment and quantification, understand typical asset failure modes, perform root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and provide technical input to ensure key asset failures and consequences are identified and mitigated.
  • Standardise maintenance tasks, and manage preventative, corrective, and predictive activities.
  • Experience in Asset Management and Analytics is preferable; expertise in multiple maintenance strategies and condition monitoring techniques is essential.
  • Plan and implement condition-based maintenance (CBM) and preventative maintenance (PDM) activities.
