Overview

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – R S Cockerill, a family business based at Dunnington, near York. We supply quality packed potatoes to the discount retailers, foodservice and ready meal manufacturing industries. As our business grows, we are recruiting full-time Mechanical Maintenance Engineers, with a choice of shift patterns available.

Responsibilities

• Follow a Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme.
• Fault finding and emergency repairs to resume production as soon as possible.
• Participate in the installation of new equipment.
• Reconditioning, adaption, welding and fabrication of new and existing machinery.
• Follow company Health and Safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• A broad range of mechanical engineering skills.
• Preferably some experience in fabrication and welding.
• Good level of communication skills, with the ability to understand and share verbal instruction in English.
• Able to work as part of a team, and take instruction from line managers and supervisors.
• Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Show full co-operation and awareness of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Be proactive with a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude, and be a strong team player.
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Access to own transport due to location.
