Job summary

A leading engineering company in Derby is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on Chemical and Heat Treatment processes. You will resolve technical issues while working closely with a team and assist in new product introductions. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering or Chemical discipline and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills. This is a full-time on-site role with the opportunity to work in a critical industry, supporting the UK Royal Navy submarines.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in an Engineering or Chemical related discipline.
  • Technical experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical processing or heat treatment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA for process improvements.
  • Familiarity with six sigma and lean techniques.
