This is entry level unskilled manual labor requiring moderate to heavy physical exertion in the routine main‑tenance involving a variety of indoor/outdoor maintenance tasks on municipal owned buildings, grounds, streets, parks, playground equipment, parking lots, and downtown pedestrian mall. The employee receives assignments orally or in writing and work is performed under the direction and supervision of the Public Service Superintendents or higher‑level supervisor. Work involves the use of manual tools, and small power tools and heavy and light equipment. Work may include prolonged exposure to adverse weather conditions and require availability for emergency call back outside normal working hours. This is a "Classified, Safety‑Sensitive" position.
