Overview

Maintenance Engineer/ Reliability Engineer - Mechanical bias. Permanent position located in Burnley, England, United Kingdom.

What will I be doing?

Working as a member of the existing reliability engineering team, you will perform routine planned preventive operations on site process equipment in line with a pre‑planned maintenance schedule. You will also provide reactive response to machine breakdowns, fault finding, and fix issues safely and within your capabilities. You will have familiarity with CNC machinery, automation, controls, heat treatment, pressure systems, site services, and interpretation of machine drawings and hydraulic schematics. There is a requirement to offer out‑of‑hours response on a team rotation, covering weekdays, days and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine planned preventive maintenance on site process equipment according to the pre‑planned schedule.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns, fault find, and implement fixes safely.
  • Work with CNC machinery, automation, controls, heat treatment, pressure systems, site services, and interpret machine drawings and hydraulic schematics.
  • Provide out‑of‑hours support as part of a team rotation.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Time‑served mechanical engineer.
  • HNC accreditation desirable.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel / Word).
  • Experience in an engineering / production environment.
  • Basic electrical fundamentals.
  • FLT / IPAF license required; training will be provided.
