What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for two dedicated part-time lottery collectors to join our collector team in Scotland (Greenock and surroundings). The positions are:

  • Position 1: 15 hours per week (flexible, but some weekends and evenings availability is required)
  • Position 2: 20 hours per week (flexible, but some weekends and evenings availability is required)

As a Lottery Collector, you will play a crucial role in boosting our fundraising efforts by collecting lottery ticket payments and assisting with subscription renewals. The funds raised through these efforts provide vital help to the local hospice. Your remit will include visiting lottery supporters in local neighbourhoods, ensuring timely collection of payments, and promoting ongoing engagement with the lottery to maximise community contributions.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
  • Visiting lottery supporter homes and collecting cash payments door-to-door
  • Collecting the payments and completing the required round paperwork
  • Engaging with supporters in a polite and friendly manner
  • Tailoring your visits to accommodate supporter availability
A Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Excellent communication skills – Engaging with the public, explaining the charity’s cause, and encouraging participation.
  • Self-motivated and resilient - must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Door-to-door collecting/fundraising experience is preferred, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Valid driver’s license & own transport is essential (mileage is covered by the company).
  • Employment is subject to Right to Work in the UK checks and a Basic DBS check.
Salary

£12.21 per hour basic + commission + efficiency bonus (realistic earnings £13-£16 per hour).

The working pattern for this position is flexible, therefore it perfectly works around your schedule, however, it is important that as a candidate you are available to work some evenings and some weekends. There are two positions available - 20 and 15 hours per week.
