# Locum Consultant Anaesthetist(UK Visa Sponsorship)### Job Description## About the RoleSomerset NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from enthusiastic Locum Consultant Anaesthetists to join our Anaesthetic Department at Yeovil District Hospital. This fixed-term position offers the opportunity to work in a busy district general hospital, providing high-quality anaesthetic care across multiple specialties and helping to shape and innovate departmental services.You will work across general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, gynaecology, and obstetrics (maternity services resume April 2026), as well as critical care, day surgery, regional anaesthesia, and acute pain services. Out-of-hours responsibilities include non-residential on-call cover for emergency theatres, maternity, and occasional paediatric cases, with availability required within 30 minutes for urgent situations.The role combines clinical excellence, teaching, leadership, and service development.
