We’re looking for a confident, people-focused Local Hero Supervisor to help deliver an exceptional matchday experience at St. James’ Park. In this role, you will meet and greet visitors, ensure they feel welcome and supported, and supervise our Local Hero team to make sure everyone receives accurate information and outstanding service. Your leadership will play a key part in creating a warm, safe, and memorable environment for all fans and visitors.
As a Local Hero Supervisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for the Local Hero team, supporting them with queries, feedback, and ongoing development. You’ll attend pre‑match meetings, share essential updates, and ensure all matchday procedures are followed. Your role will involve proactively welcoming supporters, monitoring crowd activity, providing accurate information, and directing visitors around the stadium and surrounding areas. You will also identify and any safety concerns, support post‑match reporting, and ensure any issues are escalated promptly. Your positive presence on matchdays will shape how thousands of supporters experience St. James’ Park.
You will join our Supporter Services team, working closely with the Local Hero Coordinator and collaborating with colleagues across stadium operations to deliver a smooth and supportive matchday experience for all visitors.
This role is based at St. James’ Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to attend all home matchdays and work as directed by the Local Hero Coordinator.
