Role: Loan Analyst
Location: Liverpool
What You’ll Do
- Services assigned commercial real estate loans in the UK and continental Europe and monitors their performance.
- Provides customer service to lenders and borrowers and administration departments as per the financing documentation.
- Manages the set-up of new loans in loan servicing system and responsible for maintaining the currency and integrity of loan information.
- Manages loan document files and document imaging.
- Administration and bookkeeping of the transaction.
- Setting of interest periods and reference rates applicable for each period,
- Calculation amounts to be paid by the Borrowers and lenders in accordance with loan documentation i.e. fees, interest, and principal amounts.
- Execute payment instructions on each payment date according to waterfall provided.
- Liaises with designated Borrower Account Bank to ensure all signing and account access arrangements (via electronic banking) as set out in the loan documentation are in place to allow movement of funds on each IPD.
- Maintain KYC information for all bank account signatories.
- Provide assistance as required to Asset Managers in responding to borrower’s Audit enquiries.
What You’ll Need
- Solid experience in loan administration.
- Debt due diligence and transaction management expertise.
- Execution and documentation experience, including the ability to accurately read and interpret complex facility agreements.
- Proven ability to calculate interest due on loans and a strong understanding of financial formulas and methodologies.
- Experience managing borrower bank accounts and proficiency with various banking platforms for inputting and processing payments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong client facing and communication skills (interacting with both investors and borrowers).
- Presentation skills.
- Team player mentality.
- Good Excel skills, with experience managing high volumes of data and working with various systems.
- Ability to cope well under pressure and manage high-pressure points, particularly during peak quarters.
