Nanny
Location: Islington, London
Child: 3.5-year-old boy
Working Days: Monday – Thursday (Friday morning optional for nursery drop-off)

Hours:

  • Morning: 7:00am start, nursery drop-off at 8:45am
  • Midday/Afternoon: Nursery pick-up at 11:45am, finish at 5:30pm

Start Date: Mid-January
Salary: £22 – £25 per hour (depending on experience)
Live-out preferred but open to Live-In

Role Summary

A warm, proactive, and educationally focused Nanny is required to care for a bright 3.5-year-old boy in Islington. The role combines structured childcare with nursery runs, alongside proactive household tasks related to the child. The family follows a nurturing, play-based ethos, and seeks someone who can support early learning through Montessori principles, age-appropriate activities, and creative engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning care routine, including dressing, breakfast, and preparation for nursery
  • Nursery drop-off and pick-up
  • Engaging the child in stimulating, developmental, and play-based learning activities
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
  • Ensuring the child’s areas are organised, clean, and well-presented
  • Child-related admin
  • Batch cooking for the child
  • Tidying and organising toys, clothes, and play areas
  • Supporting the family through occasional proxy parenting (up to two weeks per year)
  • Occasional travel with parents (up to two weeks per year)
  • Providing a safe, warm, and structured environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3 years' minimum previous experience as a Nanny with children aged 4-7
  • Strong educational focus with knowledge of Montessori or play-based learning
  • Warm, reliable, and confident in supporting a child’s emotional and cognitive development
  • Able to work independently and take initiative during nursery hours
