About the role

The Lifting TIC team manages and schedules the Test, Inspection and Certification (TIC) of lifting and working at height equipment, and can repair, service, install and supply equipment to meet requirements. The Lifting Equipment Engineer role is primarily site based and involves inspection, function testing, repair and maintenance of lifting and working at height equipment, as well as proof load testing of equipment (e.g., runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs and lift shaft eyes) and producing reports/certification. May carry out site surveys and advise customers on correct selection and use. TIC team supports the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet, upskilling team members and providing bespoke lifting solutions.

Note: ideal candidate location is the North of Scotland, but we are flexible on locations and will consider applications outside this area.

  • Inspect, test, repair and maintain lifting and working at height equipment in accordance with LOLER/PUWER.
  • Perform proof load testing of equipment and generate reports/certifications.
  • Conduct site surveys and advise customers on correct selection and use of lifting equipment.
  • Support depot network by maintaining the hire fleet and upskilling team members.
  • Provide bespoke lifting solutions to customers.
About You
  • Experience working as a Lifting Engineer/Fitter is essential.
  • Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER/PUWER.
  • LEEA qualifications are highly desirable (e.g., Runways & Crane Structures and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes).
  • Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members when required.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driving licence is essential.
