This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative in-house legal team where your work will directly shape commercial success. Based in Manchester, this hybrid role offers the chance to work on high-value commercial contracts whist enjoying the flexibility of two days in the office each week. The Role: Legal Counsel As Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business across a broad range of commercial legal matters. You’ll draft, review and negotiate contracts that underpin strategic partnerships, supplier relationships, and marketing initiatives. You’ll also collaborate closely with legal colleagues, and procurement, commercial, and data protection teams to deliver smart, compliant solutions that support growth and innovation. More specifically, as Legal Counsel you will: – Draft, review, and negotiate high-impact B2B, supplier, and marketing contracts; – Advise on customer-facing legal issues and resolving complaints; – Support the procurement, commercial, and data protection teams; – Manage external counsel and simplify complex legal advice to stakeholders; – Lead contract training and maintenance of precedents; – Oversee the contract lifecycle via Docusign CMS; – Contribute to governance reporting and cross-functional projects; – And, support the GC and other senior team members on other ad hoc matters. What You’ll Bring: – UK-qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ commercial contracts experience; – Proven experience drafting, reviewing and advising on commercial contracts; – Excellent negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills; – Commercial awareness and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Desirable experience: – Previous in-house legal experience; – Exposure to marketing or technology contracts. Why Apply?
