Hare Street Community Primary School is looking to appoint two enthusiastic and caring SEND Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and friendly team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in class and in small-group or 1:1 settings
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver personalised learning and care plans
  • Help create a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Relevant experience supporting children with SEND in a school or childcare setting (voluntary or paid)
  • An understanding of a range of additional needs, such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional needs
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • A collaborative approach, with the flexibility to adapt to pupils’ changing needs
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential.
