We are looking to appoint a learning support assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. This role will provide additional support for pupils with additional learning needs or social and emotional difficulties as well as more general classroom support. This role is likely to interest candidates who enjoy working with children who face considerable challenges with either their learning or managing their behaviour.

We require a member of staff who is flexible as the role will change according to the needs of the school. Interest is particularly welcome from applicants who have experience of working with children and an understanding of positive behaviour management strategies.

Suitable candidates will need to:

  • be able to motivate and encourage children to achieve their best.
  • support the wellbeing of pupils within the classroom.
  • deliver learning activities to pupils as directed by the class teacher/SENCo.
  • support pupils, adapting tasks and respond to individual needs.

A good standard of English and Mathematics is essential as is a caring and enthusiastic nature.
