Job description
Overview

Lead Structural Analysis Engineer role at Cadillac Formula 1 Team. Based at Silverstone, you will provide, develop, and refine analysis tools, methodologies, and processes to underpin the work of engineering and design teams, ensuring structural integrity, optimizing performance, and driving efficiency across all stages of car development, from concept to trackside execution.



Responsibilities


  • Perform detailed analysis and optimization of complex structures and assemblies to ensure performance, safety, and reliability

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other FEA Engineers

  • Develop and enhance analysis tools, workflows, and methodologies to improve FEA efficiency and accuracy, in collaboration with the Lead CAE Engineer

  • Create, manage, and maintain engineering databases to support structural analysis activities and knowledge sharing

  • Collaborate closely with design, aerodynamics, and manufacturing teams to ensure analysis results are fully integrated into high-performance engineering solutions



Requirements


  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or equivalent

  • Extensive experience in Formula 1 or other motorsport industries

  • Experience of FEA

  • Strong IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)

  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
