Job summary

A leading construction company in the UK is seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to ensure the safe design and operation of high-hazard processes. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safety solutions while complying with UK regulations and international standards. Responsibilities include leading hazard identification and risk assessments, developing safety documentation, and providing technical input. The ideal candidate has a degree in Chemical Engineering, proven industry experience, and strong knowledge of safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in process safety or design engineering within high-hazard industries.
  • Strong knowledge of UK safety regulations and international standards.
  • Competence in technical writing and communication, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process safety activities across projects, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and QRA studies.
  • Develop and review process safety documentation, such as Basis of Safety and safety specifications.
