Strong attention to detail, take pride in your work, and ensure that it is always of the highest standard.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead a team of Analytics Engineers, designing scalable, high-performance data models that support reporting and analytics across multiple business domains.* Collaborate with Data Product Owners and Team Leads to translate business priorities into a clear, actionable roadmap for data delivery.* Work closely with our Data Engineering team to ensure we’re leveraging Databricks to its fullest potential—building efficient, future-proof data pipelines.* Champion engineering best practices, driving consistency, reliability, and innovation across all data builds.* Partner with Data Governance and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and resolve source data quality issues, ensuring trust in our data products.* Embed strong governance controls in collaboration with our Data Governance team, maintaining high standards of data integrity and compliance.* Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of growth, curiosity, and technical excellence.* Advocate for Databricks adoption, promoting its use across the company to unlock new possibilities in data-driven insight.**Knowledge and Expertise*** Extensive experience with data modelling structures* Strong experience in at least one of SQL, Python, PySpark* Understanding of cloud-based data lake/warehousing technologies. Databricks is ideal but not mandatory* Experience in translating source data into analytically-optimised data models* Ability to understand business priorities and prioritise accordingly* Evidence of the ability to solve multiple problems with a single solution* Ability to break a project down into smaller incremental deliverables* Good communication skills both with senior and junior stakeholders* Understanding of data modelling methods* Ability to prototype and drive forward new technical initiatives* Familiarity with good Data Governance principles**We offer lots of great benefits!
