About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again. We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something. Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures and C Ventures and investors such as Tony Fadell, Casey Neistat and Kevin Lin, we are now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.

The Role

As a Lead 2D Concept/Graphic Designer, you’ll work within the multi‑disciplinary Industrial Design Team in King’s Cross, London, alongside other designers, creative technologists and engineers to invent, prototype and ship the technology of the future. We are looking for an expert‑level visual design practitioner to help us imagine the future of Nothing’s visual identity and brand expression across all touchpoints. The right candidate will have trained in Graphic Design, Typography or Visual Communication. But today you will be an incredible visual storyteller whose bread‑and‑butter is creating boundary‑pushing graphics, brand concepts and visual systems that define the future of how Nothing looks and feels.

You’ll seamlessly transition between designing future UI concepts, crafting beautiful print materials, envisioning packaging concepts, defining product silhouettes, and setting visionary brand directions. You’ll be responsible for running projects independently, managing your own schedule and tasks, and defining the creative vision that shapes how the world sees Nothing.

What We Expect From All Of Our Designers
  • Interesting and original concept generation
  • Creative and collaborative problem solving
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confidence designing for a brand with bold aesthetic direction and a clear vision
  • Amazing collaboration skills
  • Great taste
As a Lead 2D Concept/Graphic Designer We’ll Expect
  • 6–10 years of professional design experience with a world‑class portfolio demonstrating visual excellence
  • An appetite to produce conceptual work across a range of 2D media and disciplines: books & print, packaging, instruction manuals, product silhouettes, brand treatments and digital interfaces
  • Proficiency in the latest 2D design tools (Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and typography tools such as Glyphs or equivalent)
  • Experience working with tactile production methods and physical media in your graphic design practice
  • Experience working with dynamic, interactive or code‑based graphic design methodologies and systems is advantageous but not essential
  • Highly creative mindset that transcends traditional graphic design boundaries – able to think independently and originally
  • Strong project‑management skills with the ability to manage time and workload independently
  • A genuine passion for culture of all kinds, and the ability to reflect that in your work

Most of all, we’re looking for creative people who see the world like we do. If you think that’s you, please get in touch.
