Base Location: Inverness, Highlands and Islands, Elgin

Salary: £49,004 - £57,728 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Our Land Consents Managers play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our project portfolio, helping drive progress toward a net‑zero carbon future across our electricity distribution network. In this position, you’ll be responsible for securing, managing, and maintaining strong land and property rights for underground cables, overhead lines, and ground‑mounted equipment on both public and private land.

You will
  • Develop and implement consent strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in a sustainable manner.
  • Proactively manage risks to safeguard the long‑term security of the electricity network.
  • Lead negotiations and secure wayleaves, servitudes, land acquisitions, lease agreements, and access permissions.
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end management of compensation claims.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery and collaboration.
You have
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience securing wayleaves, servitudes, land purchases, lease agreements and access permissions.
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders, such as landowners, tenants, and their agents, local authorities, national agencies and the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit.
  • A solid understanding and practical application of land rights, planning procedures, and environmental legislation.

A full, current driving licence is essential.
