Job description

We are looking for a midwife who is passionate, enthusiastic and skilled in intrapartum care to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of Obstetricians, Anaesthetist, Theatres, SCBU, Labour Ward coordinators and Acute Service Lead Midwife in providing clinical, operational and managerial leadership.

The successful candidate must be committed to continuous quality improvement, be able to participate in the development of guidelines, complete audit and support the delivery of safe, effective and personalised care.

This post will provide the clinical and managerial leadership alongside the Acute Service Lead Midwife, taking responsibility for providing a clear focus for the profession and effective clinical leadership and accountability for the service.

You will be responsible for the line management of staff and ensuring they uphold the Trust and Professional values. Working in collaboration with the Acute Service Lead Midwife you will be expected to participate in the development of the service in line with national and local agendas, and the delivery of performance targets.

You will have responsibility to line manage staff and support their development alongside the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to provide clinical advice and care within the clinical area.

We are committed to supporting colleagues through organisational change. Priority will be given to staff at risk within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board.
