A leading UK consulting organization is seeking a KTP Associate to lead digital and operational transformation initiatives. Lionweld Kennedy Flooring Ltd is a well-established UK manufacturer, fabricator and installer of high-quality access solutions in steel and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), based in Middlesbrough.
This pivotal role focuses on developing and implementing a major change management initiative by embedding a company-wide digital and operational infrastructure to enable collection, analysis and extraction of value from data obtained from manual processes across the production facility. This will enable Lionweld to make faster, evidence-based decisions to optimise production efficiencies and scale-up to meet organisational and customer demands.
This post will access company wide support from across Lionweld, led by Karl Wrightson and Mike Fountain and Academic Supervision from Dr Muhammad Imran Qureshi, Teesside University International Business School.

Lionweld has operated for 115 years, supporting the construction sector with the design, manufacture, fabrication and supply of open steel grating, handrails, stair treads and ladders. They combine heritage with modern manufacturing practices and serve a diverse set of industries across the construction sector. Lionweld’s production facility utilises legacy machinery which restricts the capacity to generate digital performance management data.
This post will bring a holistic approach to scale production, digitise systems and upskill workforce which combines digital lean manufacturing, socio-technical knowledge and data capture and analytics utilising loT to create better performance management and more efficient practices.
