A progressive primary academy in Ellesmere is seeking a KS2 Teacher for maternity cover from February to October 2026. This role offers a chance to inspire and motivate students, ensuring excellent outcomes while collaborating closely with parents and the community. The ideal candidate should have a passion for outdoor learning and possess experience in teaching Key Stage Two. This is an ideal opportunity for an outstanding practitioner, either experienced or new to the profession, to develop their practice as part of a dynamic school. A passion for outdoor learning is desirable as well as the ability to contribute to the school in other ways, e.g. music, languages or art. It is essential that you have enthusiasm for and experience of teaching children in Key Stage Two as well an understanding of a thematic approach to teaching and learning.
You will need to be an excellent communicator and a person with the ability to motivate and inspire. You will be someone who is committed to equality of opportunity for all within the school community; you will bring with you, recent experience of children’s additional needs, be an excellent teacher with high expectations of behaviour, attainment and progress.
