Job description

HOURS OF WORK: 36 hours per week. (nights & day shifts including weekends)

BASED AT: 11/13 Queen Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AN

HOLIDAYS: 28 days – including statutory holidays (pro rata)

SALARY : £11.63 per hour

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a good practice service, appropriate to service user needs.
  • Ensure the security and safety of the building, following all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Report repairs of domestic equipment and appliances to the Facilities Manager.
  • Responsible for implementing hostel rules and regulations regarding client safety.
  • Cleaning and laundry services as required.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and potential challenging behaviours.
  • Work in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Meet the requirements of rota systems.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a high standard service across the scheme.
  • Work in line with the charities policies and procedures and the requirements of funders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Work in partnership with key agencies, both statutory and voluntary sectors.
  • To respect the confidential nature of the work.
  • To participate in appropriate training and staff development programmes.
  • To promote and ensure the implementation and compliance with Hope’s policies.
  • To help ensure that organisational services are delivered in accordance with Hope’s equal opportunity policy.
  • Provide ongoing support to service users in line with support plans.
  • Commit to service user centred approach.
  • Attend regular supervisions.
  • Attend regular team meetings.
