Base Pay Range

Service Desk Technician – IT and Telecoms

Salary: £25 – 30k per annum

Setting: Office-based – Sheffield City Centre

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with out-of-hours cover 1 week out of 4 year‑round

Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays

We are an MSP, dealing with many technologies that allow our clients' businesses to operate. We serve clients of all sizes and excel in providing premium service with a human touch.

Essential Requirements
  • Good root‑cause analysis skills
  • Excellent English‑speaking skills and comfort speaking on the phone regularly
  • Good literacy skills (reading and writing)
  • Use of the full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking and network topologies
  • Good knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
  • At least 12 months experience in an IT service desk
  • Understanding of cyber‑security tools such as email filtering, content restrictions, multi‑factor authentication, conditional access and domain security (DKIM, DMARC, SFP)
  • Experience with MS365 administration (Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Exchange)
