Job summary

A technology services partner is seeking an IT Support Engineer in Coventry, UK. You will provide comprehensive IT support across 30 offices, managing user accounts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality adherence. Ideal candidates will have strong technical knowledge, experience with Microsoft stack, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
  • Knowledge of WiFi solutions and Cisco equipment.
  • Experience in desktop/end-user break-fix support.

Responsibilities

  • Taking initial day-to-day calls for IT support.
  • Raise tickets for issues and manage the Support Mailbox.
  • Setup accounts for new starters and process leaver accounts.
  • Build and upgrade laptops/desktops and install software.

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically focused IT Support Engineer to join our Internal Support team at Vinci Energies UK & ROI. This UK-based role will support a range of software and hardware across 30 offices situated around the UK and ROI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking initial day‑to‑day calls
  • Raise tickets
  • Password resets
  • Check through the day and log calls in the Support Mailbox
  • Check Nagios and report any alerts
  • Setup New Starter Accounts
  • Process New Starters – Profile Setup / IAM / Homepage / Outlook / Skype / Printers / Map Drives/Teams, etc.
  • Process Leaver Accounts
  • Order Phones / SIMs (Data or Voice)
  • Order HP Laptop / Desktop including accessories
  • Request quotes for Laptop / Desktop (HP) / Phone pricing
  • User Printer Setups, Drive mapping
  • Build laptop / desktop
  • Upgrade laptop / desktop – Memory / Hard Drives
  • Off‑the‑shelf software / application installs
  • Order from CDW (licenses)
  • Backup and file restore
  • Desktop / end‑user break‑fix support
  • Maintain timesheets for project cost monitoring
Technical Requirements

This role requires technical knowledge with a number of years’ experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Core Stack

  • Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
  • WiFi solution experience & knowledge, with Cisco etc.
  • Microsoft Certifications advantageous.
