A fast-growing Scottish transport company in Fort William is seeking experienced PCV drivers to join their fully electric intercity coach network. This full-time role offers an hourly wage between £15 and £16.40, plus additional benefits like paid holiday, flexible leave, and career progression. Applicants must have a full PCV Category D licence and be flexible with shifts. Join us in delivering modern, clean, and reliable journeys across Scotland.
Ember is expanding into Fort William and is looking for experienced PCV drivers who want to be part of Scotland’s first fully electric, zero emission intercity coach network.
This is full time work with start dates from mid March 2025, and it comes with a strong hourly rate from £15 to £16.40 depending on experience and progression, plus overtime and relief options.
You will be part of a tight knit Fort William team running state of the art electric coaches on routes that link the Highlands with Scotland’s major cities.
You will be the face of Ember on every journey, welcoming passengers, answering questions and keeping the coach spotless and running smooth.
You will handle day to day challenges with a calm head, especially as the Fort William base sits slightly apart from Ember’s central support teams.
You will help people with luggage, greet passengers with a friendly hello and take pride in delivering a journey that feels modern, clean and reliable.
You will keep to time, drive safely and use Ember’s onboard technology to support a first class passenger experience.
You will carry out light cleaning duties throughout the day to keep the coach in top condition.
You will be part of a growing company that listens to drivers, encourages ideas and wants staff who take pride in representing the brand.
Ember offers a strong package including paid CPC renewal, twenty eight days paid holiday pro rata, flexible annual leave requests, referral bonuses, sick and parental leave, career progression, access to overtime, and the chance to drive cutting edge electric vehicles that reduce emissions with every journey.
Relief contracts are also available at £16.81 an hour for those who want flexibility.
Ember runs seven days a week, twenty four hours a day, and you will rotate across early, late and night shifts with five weeks’ notice of your rota.
You must hold a full PCV Category D licence, an up to date CPC and digital tachograph card, and be able to demonstrate high quality safe driving.
You must be flexible with shifts and able to work across the full rota pattern.
This is a chance to join a fast growing Scottish transport company that is proving the future can be done differently.
