Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Insurance Department at Pride Veterinary Centre!

We are looking for applicants with a willing and “can do” approach to their workload, who strive in busy environments.

The role is varied and involves:

  • Processing direct claim Insurance requests for both first opinion and multidiscipline referral cases for small animals
  • Processing insurance claims after treatment
  • Monitoring claims through to settlement of the claim and liaising with multiple insurance companies, clients and other vet practices.

Attention to detail is a vital requirement for this role, making sure claims are processed promptly and accurately. Applicants with previous experience of managing insurance claims would be welcomed but those with a similar fast paced administrative and/or customer focused background could be a good fit. Full on the job training will be provided with continued support throughout employment.

About the rota

The working hours will be 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the office opening hours of 8am and 5pm.

Pride Veterinary Centre is a multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centre that is the central small animal hospital for the Scarsdale Veterinary group, as well as offering referral services for other veterinary practices across the midlands and beyond. The practice offers specialist services in Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Exotics and Dermatology. The hospital offers 24/7 veterinary care supported by our on-site ‘vets at night’ team and has a wide range of state-of-the‑art equipment. We work closely with the University of Nottingham with students rotating through our referral services. Scarsdale Vets is part of the largest veterinary group in Europe, IVC Evidensia and is a key site within the groups UK activities.
