The Role

Purpose of the role
You will enhance delivery of the most complex and interesting projects through project controls. You will be a senior leader pushing the discipline to new heights within Laminar and the industry.

Your team
This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy, focusing on understanding project problems, implementing the best solutions, and developing scalable best practices, tools and technology. You will join our Project Controls Discipline Team, led by a project controls director.

Your top three objectives
• To make construction projects deliver to near perfection
• To develop yourself and everyone around you
• To create scalable and repeatable solutions to common problems

Your top five responsibilities
• Own the controls for cost, schedule, change and risk on one or more projects to enable accurate decisions for project teams
• Develop your team and educate clients to improve as well
• Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team for long-term impact
• Provide simple actionable reports to stakeholders to improve delivery
• Ensure the project’s understanding and focus on the plan, contributing to outcomes even when others are not fully aligned

Must have
• A construction engineering background with solid capability in cost, schedule, and change control and experience in developing project controls processes and reporting aligned with objectives
• Strong communication skills to engage teams and promote best practices
• Proven leadership capability to coach and develop high-performing planning and controls functions
• A track record of implementing scalable, repeatable solutions that create positive impact on complex projects
