Have you consistently secured Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst funding and are you adept at crafting top-tier submissions within an autonomous setting?

At GrantTree, we are on a continuous quest to broaden our circle of subcontracted Technical Writers. We partner with a plethora of the UK’s trailblazing companies, aiding them in optimising their government funding prospects.

Responsibilities

• Craft clear, authentic application narratives that resonate in GrantTree’s voice and align with client specifications to maximise funding success, especially within the Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst scheme.
• Grasp client vision through in-depth discussions with founders and C-level executives, complemented by extensive background research.
• Forge strong connections with the internal team, supplying insightful content and guidance for each application.
• Develop persuasive proposals and narrative content tailored to each grant’s requirements.

Requirements

• You are a trained scientist, engineer (STEM subject), or Medical Doctor, preferably with a PhD or MSc in your discipline and/or significant experience in your STEM subject.
• You can converse confidently with senior professionals and innovators across various subjects.
• You are comfortable working remotely from GrantTree and its clients.
• You possess an in-depth understanding of UK/EU grants funding landscapes and expert-level knowledge of the bids process.
• You have a strong and demonstrable track record specifically in Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst funding.
• You work as a self-sufficient freelancer; as an established sole-trader or within a limited company structure.
• Backgrounds in life sciences, physical sciences or computing are particularly welcome.

For this role, we offer a fixed setup sum per application and a share of our success fee.
