Overview

HR GO are recruiting for an experienced Import Coordinator to join a local based company in Medway. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and flexible, who thrives in a close‑knit team environment and wants to grow with the team.

Role overview: As an Import Coordinator, you will manage the end‑to‑end customs clearance process for shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant and that customers and hauliers are kept updated. Responsibilities
  • Submit customs entries efficiently and accurately using CDS.
  • Review and maintain import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, phytosanitary and POAO certificates), ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Manage both personal and shared inboxes, tracking and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly with Government authorities and third parties to resolve any issues.
  • Track shipments and update customers and hauliers on progress and status.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer queries and status updates.
  • Keep internal trackers and records accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with hauliers, customs agents, suppliers and the internal team to resolve delays or compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working within imports and using CDS customs software.
  • Good knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, tariff classifications and trade compliance.
  • Well organised, proactive and able to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shipments throughout the day.
  • Experience using ASM and/or IPAFFS is an advantage, but not essential.
Hours

Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 08:00-17:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch)

With a weekday rotation of 09:00-18:00 and 07:00-16:00 as required
