Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is offering a full-time Clinical Fellow position in ITU starting February 2026 for a duration of 12 months. This role is part of the Anaesthetic and Critical Care Department at Croydon Health Services. Job description
Overview

One full‑time Clinical Fellow in ITU (CT1/CT2 or CT3+) starting Feb 2026 for 12 months, level 3+ trainee, part of Anaesthetic and Critical Care Department at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust (Croydon University Hospital and Purley Hospital).

Responsibilities
  • Support anaesthesia and ITU in day‑to‑day activities across a 15‑bed intensive care unit (8 level 3 and 7 level 2).
  • Commit to 40 hrs/week clinical service: 40 hrs including a 1:8 on‑call rota (EWTD compliant), with regular coverage in either critical care or theatre where anaesthetic experience allows.
  • Deliver daily clinical teaching during ward rounds and weekly intensive care teaching sessions, supervised by consultants.
  • Participate in high‑quality research and development to enhance clinical care.
  • Assist with stabilisation and transfer of patients referred from other areas of the hospital.
  • Engage in examinations and contribute to in‑house teaching.
