Qualifications

  • Prior demonstrated knowledge of First Nations Culture, communities, families, children, and young people.
  • Knowledge of various Child Protection Legislation and Government initiatives across Western Australia.
  • Ability to initiate, implement, and embed Family Finding practices creatively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with children, Carers, and Families to support connections for children in out-of-home care.
  • Develop and improve resources for the Family Finding model.
  • Lead fostering and complex care teams in adopting Family Finding practices.
  • Provide culturally responsive services acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
