You will be based in Manchester, working in the office one day per week (Wednesday), with flexibility to travel to other UKSI locations where required (occasional).**Your Responsibilities*** Provide expert advice to line managers on employee relations matters including capability, performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance.* Lead the end-to-end process on TUPE transfers, including consultation, due diligence, and measures.* Act as the lead contact for corporate recruitment, managing the full process from job advert through to induction.* Support hiring managers with job descriptions, interview preparation, and recruitment materials.* Ensure recruitment processes are inclusive, consistent, and aligned with UKSI values.* Utilise Cascade HRIS to enhance HR effectiveness and maintain accurate data for reporting.* Prepare documentation, letters, and reports as required.* Build strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners, representing the People Team at stakeholder meetings.* Contribute to wider People Team projects and strategic priorities.**What You Will Need to Succeed*** CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) – Level 7 desirable.* Proven experience in a fast-paced HR environment, with strong generalist knowledge.* Demonstrable experience of leading TUPE transfers end-to-end.* Confident in advising managers on complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, redundancy, and change management.* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and make quick decisions.* Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Cascade experience desirable).* Ability to work autonomously, at pace, and build effective relationships at all levels.* Available to start immediately.**Benefits*** 9-month fixed-term contract with a view to permanent employment.* Competitive salary (circa 40k).* 29 Days Holiday plus Bank Holiday.* Hybrid working model (1 day in Manchester office per week).* Opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational change.* High level of autonomy and responsibility within a collaborative People Team.**What you need to do now** If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
