Job description

Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College (HLNSC) is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tutor to join our Adult and Community Learning Division, delivering engaging and high-quality learning in Logistics (HGV).

Based initially at The Gateway Centre, Shrewsbury, you will play a key role in supporting adult learners to gain essential employability and vocational skills. The successful candidate will deliver teaching and learning that inspires confidence, builds technical ability, and supports progression into further training or employment.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Logistics/HGV-related subjects to adult learners.
• Provide individual learning support and feedback to help learners achieve their goals.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and employers to ensure courses meet learner and industry needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has recent or relevant industry experience in Logistics/HGV.
• Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS, AET, or equivalent).
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate adult learners.
• Is flexible, professional, and committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel to other HLNSC campuses if required.
