Location - Varied across Walsall / surrounding area, including other areas in black country when required
Salary - £12.21 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a casual Home Helper to join our Help at Home community service that works across the borough of Walsall, and surrounding areas. Having a Bank contract is a great way to supplement your income. Working on a casual contract means you will work when required by the service and you will also be able to request hours around your own schedule.

GreenSquareAccord's Health and independence service aims to improve the quality of life of older and vulnerable people. We offer a range of services that help older adults live independent and fulfilled lives. The Help at Home service provides practical help around the home such as shopping, cleaning and ironing alongside social interaction and companionship for service users.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning duties, shopping and escorting clients to doctor and hospital appointments
  • Providing a period of short respite for people caring for loved ones with dementia
  • Providing a degree of social interaction with the client and actively promoting other Health and Independence services that may be of benefit
  • Ensuring daily worksheet records are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reporting any concerns about client well-being to the scheme coordinator

The ability to drive and have access to a vehicle (with business insurance coverage) is essential and you will be paid travel time and mileage.
