Home Delivery Driver – Hull Store

Location: Hull Store, Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd, Sainsbury Way, Hessle, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU13 9NS
Rate: £14.10 per hour
Hours: Part‑time, 20 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed‑Term Assignment

Job Summary

Work in a fast‑paced environment delivering groceries to customers’ doorsteps with a 3.5 tonne van. Support store operations as needed and provide friendly service to our online customers.

Eligibility & Requirements
  • You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
  • You will complete an online driving risk assessment, and a driving assessment during onboarding if successful.
  • You must have right to work eligibility in the UK.
What you’ll be doing
  • Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps on‑time and in good condition.
  • Check the van is organised, clean, road‑worthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving.
  • Serve customers brilliantly, answering questions, providing substitutions, and keeping them informed of any delays.
  • Build product, service and promotion knowledge to give recommendations.
  • Assist across the store when not making deliveries.
