Job summary

A sports coaching organization in Scotland is seeking experienced Hockey Coaches for part-time roles. The positions involve coaching students during Term Time on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of hockey, prior coaching experience with youths up to age 17, and an enthusiastic coaching approach. Successful candidates will need to comply with safeguarding regulations regarding vulnerable children. Parking is not available on campus.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of playing or coaching hockey to pupils up to Age 17 is required.
  • Formal qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching for pupils during Term Time.
  • Travel with pupils to away fixtures as required.
  • Coach during weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Job description

We are seeking to recruit experienced Hockey Coaches to provide coaching for pupils from throughout the school year.

The positions are for weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings during Term Time, and will require travelling with pupils to away fixtures as required.

We have the following times available and will be confirmed depending upon team allocation

  • Mondays 3.00pm – 4.30pm
  • Wednesdays 3:00pm – 4:30pm
  • Thursdays 3.00pm-4.30pm
  • Fridays 3.45pm-5.00pm
  • Saturdays approx. 4 hours

A formal hockey coaching qualification is advantageous but is not essential

Excellent knowledge of hockey gained via previous experience of playing hockey and/or coaching hockey to pupils up to Age 17 is required

Enthusiastic and inclusive approach to coaching hockey with the ability to cater to pupils of various levels and abilities and motivating them to take part
