Qualifications

  • Qualified Mechanic to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in motor vehicle engineering.
  • Practical experience of working in a busy Fleet workshop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, inspect and test a wide range of vehicles.
  • Complete all required paperwork ensuring legal requirements are documented.
  • Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT compliance.
  • Attend vehicle breakdowns reported by customers.
  • Comply with daily checks of vehicles and report any damages.
  • Support supervisors in the efficient running of the service.
  • Provide flexible working times depending on the business needs.

Skills

Qualified Mechanic to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
DVSA MOT tester qualification for class 4/5 & 7
Full UK driving licence (Cat C desirable)
Practical experience in a busy Fleet workshop
Use of specialist vehicle and plant fault diagnostic equipment
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Ability to keep up with industry standards
