Job details

HGV Class 2 Driver - Eastfield House, Huntingdon. Hours: Monday to Friday, from 6am - 2pm.

We’re on the lookout for reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our frontline team at Huntingdonshire District Council. This is a key role in delivering vital services to our communities, and we need someone who can lead from the front.

What you must have (essential - applications without this will not be considered):
  • HGV Class C Licence
  • CPC Qualification
  • A strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a safety-first mindset
What you’ll do:
  • You’ll drive and operate our collection vehicles, lead your crew on daily rounds, carry out vehicle checks, and ensure safe, efficient waste and recycling collections
  • You’ll use in-cab tech to log issues and complete your round
  • You’ll support the team by loading bins, working outdoors in all weather, and engaging with the public in a polite and professional manner
