As we continue to grow, we are searching for unique, passionate, enthusiastic, vivacious people to join us in creating that sense of community, who will put the well-being of others at the forefront.Role Summary: As a Control of Works/ Safe Permit coordinator, you will collaborate with colleagues, vendor partners, and the client to support smooth operations of our client's Safe Permit System.You’ll provide workflow support to all departments using contractors, supply partners, and vendors. Specifically you’ll be responsible for assuring applications for access, or to do work, meet legal and company safe system recommendations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive and will show initiative to keep the facilities safe and maintain a smooth flow of all general and high risk activities within the client buildings.Core Responsibilities:● Review of all permit applications● Participate in creating and enhancing our safety culture● Maintain accurate records● Maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors● Manage enquiries regarding control of work permits● Deliver training to suppliers and contractors● Monitor compliance● Prepare reports● Participate in audits● Assist in any other site requests or EHS work with regards to Safe at work processes● Managing any additional Landlord permitting platforms as required●Undertake all other duties & tasks as reasonably requested by your line managerWhat does success look like:You will understand our systems and processes, and will contribute to the improvement of both. You will be an expert in the requirements of safely controlling work and spaces, and you will be able to explain the requirements of this to others. You will be organised and follow up with users of your service to ensure it is effective and delivers customer satisfaction. You will be confident that anyone receiving a permit to work has followed a reasonable and systematic safe system.Candidate Requirements:● Education● Health and Safety experience● Risk assessment/Method statement understanding● NEBOSH/IOSH/Other HSE qualification● First aid qualification● Management of Risk qualificationSkills● Language - fluency in written and spoken English● Computer literate● The ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own● Language - business fluency in another language would be a bonus● Understanding of technical drawingsKnowledge● Broad technical knowledge of facilities management and building systems● An understanding of Low RIsk and High Risk work● Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and construction techniquesExperience● Responsive to customer requests in an empathic, supportive and productive manner● Experience of working across national borders.● Experience using permitting systems.● 2+ years experience in a similar building environment● Participation in Audits**QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum four years of HSE related experience. Fundamental knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations preferred. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is beneficial. **CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES** As required by local authority (if required). **COMMUNICATION SKILLS** Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. **FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE** Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. **REASONING ABILITY** Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
